LightSquared has been moving forward with a 4G network. Cool. I like Internet on my mobile device. Only problem is that it interferes with GPS signals.
The thing that surprises me is that the FCC hasn't really done much about it, aside from all the complaints and letters it has received from many aviation organizations and pilots who have been affected by the tests being held in Nevada.
Now, we know that LightSquared has been testing this new technology. The FCC finally has had a say in the issue, demanding more information as to why this is occurring. 1 July of this year is the deadline. We will see what happens.
